Alli Krone

Event Specialist: Southeast and Canada

  • How did you start your journey and begin with Maui Jim?
I started as a Corporate Gifts Event Associate. When that internship ended, I was in love with Maui Jim and didn’t want to leave. Soon after, I became part of the Customer Service team. I was a rep for about 11 months. This position gave the opportunity to learn an abundance about the product and process Maui Jim operates on. Since then, I have joined the Corporate Gifts ’ohana (again) as an Event Specialist – coordinating events and traveling to spread the Aloha Spirit.
  • What’s the most interesting place your travels have taken you?
The most interesting place I’ve been is Bermuda. I studied abroad in college in London and it reminded me a lot of my travels in the UK. From the British accents, to driving on the left side of the road, to the bright, see-through water – Bermuda took my breath away. And let’s not forget the fish and chips!
  • What’s the best thing about owning a pair of Maui Jim sunglasses?
EVERYTHING. I think the color enhancement and cut of glare are huuuuge. When I have my Maui Jims on, I see colors I’ve never seen before. They are also so incredibly comfortable – from not squinting at all when I wear them to the way they form to my face.. I don’t even need to take them off when I’m in the shade, which is always a plus.
  • What’s something people don’t know about Maui Jim that they should know?
Maui Jim stands behind their product and we will always help you. Maui Jim always has a solution. Our customers are some of the most loyal customers in the world. Our customer service is top notch, so you can only imagine the bond we have with our long-lasting customers. WE understand that our luxury sunglasses can be an investment, so we will work hard to make sure your happy with our product.
  • What’s the best gift you’ve ever received (and why)?
Family. Not to be cliché, but family means the world to me. I pride myself in the relationships I have with my family members as well as friends who turned into family. Fun fact about me is that I’m adopted. I have a strong relationship with my family as well and birth parents. Also, one time my friend bought me a Sweet Tea from McDonald’s after class in college. If you know me, you know that’s a great gift too!
  • If you were a pair of Maui Jim sunglasses, which style would you be (and why)?
A realistic answer would be the Alekona’s because that’s my name in Hawaiian! However, I think the bronze Tritons are more fitting. I love the sleek gold frame and the big bronze lenses. They are so lightweight, but make me feel like a million bucks.
