  • How did you start your journey and begin with Maui Jim?
My emphasis in college was event planning and I started in hospitality as an executive meeting manager. I then accepted a Director of Special Events position and began my journey in the marketing event planning space. I was then with a marketing agency and focused on digital marketing. My Maui Jim journey began in 2017 when I saw the posting and it grabbed my attention with it being the perfect culmination of my professional experiences.
  • What’s the most interesting place your travels have taken you?
I think the most interesting work related travel was to Alaska with a celebrity duo and we went full tourist mode. Checked out the local hang out spots, kayaking, learned about the rich culture, and got to experience Alaska during salmon season.
  • What’s the best thing about owning a pair of Maui Jim sunglasses?
The thing I love most about my Maui Jim’s are the way they enhance colors. There’s nothing better than being on a trail run and the greens of the grass, the purple of the violets jump out at you. It lets you focus on something besides being exhausted from your run. 🙂
  • What’s something people don’t know about Maui Jim that they should know?
A lot of people aren’t aware of the amazing culture at Maui Jim. The people and passion make this company what it is. It starts at the top where they support a culture that allows jeans and flip flops, a gym open 24/7/365, and also truly empower the employees to make the customer happy. They live what they preach and it’s Aloha at Maui Jim.
  • What’s the best gift you’ve ever received (and why)?
My husband just got me a set of white Yeti wine tumblers. Perfect gift to get ready for summer. They were and have continuously been sold out for at least 6 months. He was able to get them on the only day they were restocked. The thought and effort that goes into a gift is something that can mean more than the tangible gift.
  • If you were a pair of Maui Jim sunglasses, which style would you be (and why)?
I would have to go with the Kawika crystal frame with blue lens. They’re a great mix of classic style with modern fashion and flare.
