Sales Manager: Hawaii

  • How did you start your journey and begin with Maui Jim?
Born and raised on Maui, Kauai and Oahu- I became a brand loyalist at an early age. Growing up my parents and their friends only wore Maui Jim. In middle school I wore my first pair of Maui Jim sunglasses the Malia H125-10. 10 years later I found myself shopping for a new pair of sunglasses. As a recent college graduate with a degree in Marketing, I was delighted to see Maui Jim was hiring interns to live the dream in Lahaina. I began my formal journey with the company on January 2nd 2007 as a Corporate Gifts intern. I instantly fell in love with the company values, my peers and management. It is truly a special place to work. In October 2007 I was hired as a full time event specialist and have been with the company full time since then.
  • What’s the most interesting place your travels have taken you?
In 2016, I was blessed to travel to Sicily with my Husband on the Maui Jim Kahuna Club trip. It was an incredible late honeymoon trip together. It was our first European adventure together and wonderful to experience all the sites, culture and amazing food together.
  • What’s the best thing about owning a pair of Maui Jim sunglasses?
Maui Jim is an incredible product. The technical components of the lenses is truly special and unlike anyone else in the industry. I spent time on the retail side of the business and learned how truly unique the brand is from our people, our customer service and our technology.
  • What’s something people don’t know about Maui Jim that they should know?
Our frames are fashion forward but what really sets us apart is the technical elements in the lenses: Highest clarity, premium polarization, UVA, UVB and UVC protection, lightweight materials, natural color enhancers, anti-reflective coating, bi-gradient/single gradient mirrors, hydro and oleophobic coatings and dedication to constant innovation to provide customers with the best products.
  • What’s the best gift you’ve ever received (and why)?
The best gift I’ve received would have to be artwork from my 3 year old daughter Emalia. The dedication to her craft and the pride in her presentation melt my heart.
  • If you were a pair of Maui Jim sunglasses, which style would you be (and why)?
If I were a pair of Maui Jim Sunglasses, I would be the sunshine. It combines fashion with a little cat eye flair. It’s perfect for our sunny Lahaina days!
