- How did you start your journey and begin with Maui Jim?
I was first introduced to Maui Jim when I was hired as an events associate with the Corporate Gifts team. I absolutely fell in love with the company, the people, and the product, and simply had to stay! I then became a Customer Service Representative, a position in which I gained extensive product knowledge and got the chance to brag about Maui Jim’s on a daily basis. I am excited to now have returned to Corporate Gifts as Sales Support in the beginning of 2019. - What’s the most interesting place your travels have taken you?
In 2017, I had the opportunity to live in Rome, Italy for a few months. Not only did I get to experience living in a different country, but I got to travel throughout Europe while I was at it. By far one of the coolest things I have ever done! - What’s the best thing about owning a pair of Maui Jim sunglasses?
What’s the best thing about owning a pair of Maui Jim sunglasses?The sheer beauty they create in the world around you. The color enhancement is unlike anything I have ever seen, and I will ALWAYS love the world just a little bit more through my Maui Jim filter!
- What’s something people don’t know about Maui Jim that they should know?
We are one of the only brands to have received the Skin Cancer Foundation Seal of Recommendation. As our world is becoming more aware of cancer-causing dangers, unfortunately so many people still do not realize how sensitive the skin on your face and around your eyes is, let alone just how susceptible it is to sun damage (aka more wrinkles, no thank you!). Not only are Maui Jim’s beautiful, but they are healthy! - What’s the best gift you’ve ever received (and why)?
A cruise to Alaska with my cousin and late Grandma. I got to see breaching whales and flying eagles, touch glaciers and explore nature, all of which was purely incredible. It was the last big trip that my Grandma got to go on, which makes it even more near and dear to my heart. - If you were a pair of Maui Jim sunglasses, which style would you be (and why)?
I would be the Jasmine’s. Classic but fashion-forward, and just a little sassy!
