How did you start your journey and begin with Maui Jim?
I began my journey at Maui Jim as a temp during the summer of 2017, not long after I then took on an Office All-rounder role, which encompassed multiple aspects of day-to-day responsibilities at Maui Jim this also included assisting with Corporate Gift Events. For a few months I played a supportive role within sales and admin however when the previous specialist resigned I embraced the opportunity to further grow with Maui Jim in a position that I’d truly thrive in and was later promoted to Lead Event Specialist.
What’s the most interesting place your travels have taken you?
It would most probably have to be, the ancient and charming town of Hoi An, Vietnam! It is probably my favorite place I’ve visited (so far) and I’ll definitely be going back to explore more!
What’s the best thing about owning a pair of Maui Jim sunglasses?
Honestly, there isn’t just one thing! Our products provide exceptional UV protection, we are always launching great styles & the quality of our lenses ensure clarity the like nothing I’ve ever experienced before! The Maui Rose in a glass lens is definitely my favorite to look through at the moment.
What’s something people don’t know about Maui Jim that they should know?
Maui Jim has such a great reliable repairs department! Most people and customers I interact with have either never known about this area of service or will give feedback on how amazing their repairs service experience was!
What’s the best gift you’ve ever received (and why)?
My Pounamu necklace that my mother gifted me when I moved to Australia, it is a Taonga, which in my Maori culture is a prized possession, unique only to the individual who it is given to and someday I hope to pass this onto my children.
If you were a pair of Maui Jim sunglasses, which style would you be (and why)?
I would be the style “Sunshine”! It was my first ever pair of Maui’s and I just love the name.
