- How did you start your journey and begin with Maui Jim?
After an over twenty seven year career with Hyatt Hotels and Resorts in the Sales and Marketing arena, I was most fortunate to partner with many of the colleagues of Maui Jim Corporate Gifts. I have always felt like an extension of Maui Jim as I believe in the brand and the team. I am truly excited to join Maui Jim and making a difference.
- What’s the most interesting place your travels have taken you?
I am most fortunate to have both lived in special places and traveled and experienced different cultures across the world. Most notably, in 2018 we took a family vacation on-board a very exclusive ship across all of Italy and the Mediterranean for ten days. I have never cruised much throughout my life being in the hotel industry, however waking up in a different port each day was amazing.
- What’s the best thing about owning a pair of Maui Jim sunglasses?
The best thing for me is the light weight as I often times get a headache from wearing glasses that are tight around my head. Maui Jim sunglasses seem to fit around the shape of your head and not the other way around.
- What’s the best gift you’ve ever received (and why)?
My first pair of Maui Jim’s was a gift I received at a customer event several years ago. The sunglasses were just as amazing as the team that did the fitting as they know what looks good. From that point moving forward, I can honestly say I have never placed another brand of sunglasses on my forehead.
- If you were a pair of Maui Jim sunglasses, which style would you be (and why)?
Ho’okipa would best describe me which means hospitality and after living in Hawaii and several other resort locations for many years, I continue to live a life full of aloha. These glasses are rimless and allow you to see beyond the boundaries that life has to offer.
